his international symposium, organised by Professor Edzard ErnstÌs Complementary Medicine group in Exeter, is the longest running scientific meeting in its field. It is aimed at providing a forum for all individuals with a research interest in CAM. With an emphasis on original research it offers a unique opportunity to discuss key issues such as effectiveness, safety and costs in critical yet open-minded debate.
The programme includes:
?Two days of oral and poster presentations (Wednesday and Thursday)
? The 5th Varro Tyler Memorial Lecture presented by Prof Basil Roufogalis, University of Sydney, Australia
? A keynote lecture presented by Vinjar FØnnebØ, University of TromsØ, Norway
? A paediatric CAM research day (Tuesday), chaired by Sunita Vohra, University of Alberta, Canada
? A half-day CAM practitioners workshop, chaired by John Dent, Complementary Therapist Association
