Michael J. Schneider, DC
I received my B.S. degree in Kinesiology from Cal State University at Hayward with the intention of working in the healthcare field specializing in sports injury. After graduating from college, I went on to get certified in neuromuscular massage and deep tissue body work. I worked as a massage therapist for seven years with chiropractors, as well as maintaining my own clientele. My experience working with chiropractors inspired me to become a chiropractor in order to further help people improve their health and well being. I could see myself helping more people and animals get well. I went to Life West Chiropractic School in Hayward and received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1991.
Initially, I'm trying to get people out of discomfort or pain. Second, I encourage them to take responsibility for their own health; that my adjustment, or any other modality, is not "doing it" to them. I believe that we heal ourselves from the "inside/out." I tell my patients that they have a choice of receiving a "patch job," or a life changing experience through wellness care, exercise, nutrition and a maintenance program of Chiropractic. I'm here to serve my patients. I try to give them what they want and at the same time coaching them to add healthier practices to their life ( Stress relief, nutritional counseling, exercising and stretching.)
